Feelwells Training Treats: Liver Flavour
When stocking up on training treats for my six month old puppy, I was glad to stumble upon a bag of Feelwells training treats in my local pet store. Although I'm sure most six month old Bulldog's would happily eat anything offered, I always like to remember that treats can impact the quality of a dogs overall diet. Additives are always my main worry, as there are so many unnatural products waiting to sneak into the well meaning dog owners pocket. Not a worry with Feelwells training treats. These little rewards are free from artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, so you can treat your dog guilt free. Here is the packet.........
As you can see, these are also free from, wheat or wheat gluten. This is especially useful for my elderly Scottish Terrier with a sensitive tummy. Furthermore, they are liver, and I've never known any dog turn their nose up at a liver treat before. As predicted they were an absolute hit with the fur babies: yes, even the fussiest of the three.
What I also love about these treats is the practicality in terms of training out and about. I like to take treats out in puppy socialisation sessions so that I can reward good manners. The fact that these treats are semi-moist means that they are not messy. No sticky hands and pockets, yet they do not crumble easily either, which can be equally annoying. If need be, they can be broken into half, and furthermore they do not have an overpowering smell (excellent if you what a human companion to join in on your walk). The small size of these treats is also practical, they will fit into a pocket or treat bag without any problems.
There are plenty of little treats in each pack, making these excellent value for money. These are a high quality reward from a company that is passionate about healthy pets. These have certainly earned a permanent place in my doggy shopping list and I highly recommend for training sessions, or just as a nice little treat. 10 out of 10 from myself and the pack! Looking forward to trying more products from the Feelwells range
Update: Cheese Flavour
Finally, I have found the cheese flavoured variety of Feelwells training treats in stock locally. Im sure these must be incredibly popular as they are often sold out. Knowing a certain little cheese fiend by the name of Dougie, I instantly knew these were going to be a big hit with one of the terriers.
Just as with the liver variety, these training treats are free from any unwanted additives, so are excellent healthy rewards. These have been fantastic recently for training the young bulldog at the local park.
